Smartreach develops original eyewear collections and supports OEM and ODM project discussions for brands. Start with a selected optical frame, sunglasses model or clip-on design, or share the design direction you would like to explore.
Two different starting points.
ODM / BRAND-LED DEVELOPMENT
An original collection brief.
Bring your brand references, existing collection, target customer, preferred shapes and target cost direction. Discuss the visual language to retain and the product gap to explore.
Discussion path: brand brief → collection direction → concepts and feasibility → prototype or sample review → agreed specification.
Bring drawings, dimensions, material and finish requirements, or a sample you are authorised to use. Identify lens, branding, packaging and acceptance requirements for feasibility and quotation discussions.
Discussion path: technical brief → scope and feasibility → quotation basis → sample review → production approval.
Design fees, revision scope, tooling, ownership, confidentiality and any exclusivity need written agreement for the individual project. These routes do not require a previous Ready Goods order.
What does an eyewear development brief need?
For an original ODM collection
Explain the customer you design for, your existing range and the gap the new collection should fill. References for frame shape, colour and positioning help define a direction; they are not permission to copy another brand.
For an OEM manufacturing enquiry
Provide authorised drawings or a reference sample, dimensions, construction, material, finish and branding requirements. State your destination market and the sample or testing criteria needed for approval. Production feasibility and commercial terms are reviewed against the brief.
For either route, distinguish the design decisions still open from the specifications already fixed. This gives the sample discussion a clear purpose and helps make quotations comparable.
